The rights included in the GDPR are:
The right of information,
The right to access,
The right to rectification,
The right to erasure (right to be forgotten),
The right to data portability,
The right to object (right to opt-out), and
The right to restriction of processing.
How you exercise your rights may vary depending on the specific right you wish to exercise.
However, here are some general guidelines to keep in mind:
If you have an account on our platform, use the email address associated with your account when making a request. This helps us verify your identity and process your request more efficiently.
Be as specific as possible about the personal data or processing activities you're concerned about. This will help us understand your request and respond more quickly.
Before making a request, please check our privacy policy for more information about how we process your personal data and the legal basis for each processing activity. This may help answer your questions or address your concerns without the need for a formal request.
Right to information
You have the right to know how Mistral AI processes your personal data. You can find all the information you need in our privacy policy available here. In case you can’t find the answer to your question in our privacy policy, contact us through the form available here.
Right to access
You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal data. To make a “right to access” request, contact us through the form available here. You must use the email address you used to create your account on the platform and make sure that you specify what data you want a copy of.
Right to rectification
You have the right to rectify your personal data stored by Mistral AI.
If you want to rectify your account data (e.g., your username, your email address, your billing information, etc.), you can manage this directly on your account on the platform by using the “settings” menu.
If you want to rectify other personal data, you can contact us by using the form available here. In such a case, you must use the email address you used to create your account on the platform and make sure you specify which data you want to rectify.
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)
You have the right to delete your account and/or any personal data stored by Mistral AI.
If you want to delete your account, the process differs depending on whether you have a paid subscription or you use our services free of charge.
If you have a free subscription, you can request the deletion of your account at any time through this form.
If you have a paid subscription, you will need to cancel your subscription first in accordance with our Terms of Use. You will then be able to request the deletion of your account through this form.
If you want to delete specific personal data, you must first check whether you can delete the data yourself through the features of the platform. If you are unable to delete the data yourself, you can submit a request to us through our designated form.
In either case, we’ll delete any personal data that you requested us to delete, except for any information that we’re legally obligated to retain.
For instance, we are legally required to keep invoices for a longer period. You can find more information about our data retention policy in our privacy policy, which is available here.
Please note that once deleted, accounts, prompts, outputs and other personal data cannot be recovered. Therefore, we encourage you to consider whether you truly want to erase your data before making your request.
Right to data portability
You have the right to request a copy of your personal data in a format that is easily transferable to another provider. This only applies to personal data processed on the basis of your consent or that is strictly necessary for the provision of the services (e.g. prompts and outputs). If you want to exercise your right to data portability, contact us through our designated form here.
Right to object (opt-out)
You have the right to opt-out of certain processing activities involving your personal data.
You can’t opt-out of a processing that is required by law or necessary for the provision of our services, such as generating outputs based on your prompts.
However, you can opt-out of non-legally-required or non-essential processing activities, such as marketing communications like newsletters, by using the unsubscribe link provided in the email or contacting us directly through the form available here.
To determine whether you can opt-out of a processing activity, please check our privacy policy, which provides information on the lawful basis for each processing activity. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us through our designated form.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do so, you must contact us through our designated form and make sure that you cite one of the cases applicable to your request, pursuant to Article 18.1. a to d of the GDPR.
