How to use le Chat
When you begin a conversation, you're engaging with a powerful generative AI model. You can communicate using natural language to ask questions or assign tasks in a conversational manner.
Le Chat automatically selects the appropriate tools when needed, based on your input and the features you have mentioned or enabled (see below for more details).
🔑 Bare in mind that le Chat does not have prior context about you, your specific task, or your organization outside the present conversation. For the best results, provide very specific instructions about exactly what you’d like it to do and leverage the different capabilities available.

Agents: Create specialized virtual assistant, tailored to your needs from tone personalization to tools usage, and interact with them directly within le Chat!
Canvas: An interface for collaborating with le Chat on writing, data tables and coding projects, allowing for precise focus, direct editing, and quick-action shortcuts.
Code Interpreter: For developers and tech-savvy users, this feature allows you to write and execute safely sandboxed Python code directly within le Chat's interface. Perfect for data analysis, visualization, and quick calculations.
Connections: Custom connectors that supercharge le Chat by securely linking it to your external data sources (such as your email account or your calendar), providing it with the ability to access and manipulate this information on your behalf.
Document Understanding: Upload text documents or PDFs, and le Chat will extract their content so you can ask questions about them in real-time.

Libraries: Libraries are your personal, secure knowledge bases that you and your organization can create and access directly within le Chat. Upload different types of documents and begin chatting with them right away!
Web Search: When enabled, le Chat can retrieve up-to-date information from the internet (and from trusted sources such as AFP and AP news agencies) to better answer questions on specialized topics or current events, overcoming the knowledge cut-off of its training data.

Subscription Plans
Le Chat and most of its features are completely free to use, even without an account, but we also offer subscription plans that provide enhanced features and increased usage limits.
Le Chat Free
The free plan offers access to most le Chat features with some usage limitations. This includes a limited number of messages per day and features like image generation or document upload require you to be logged in.
Daily caps also apply to the use of Web search, Canvas, image generation, and Code Interpreter.
🔑 Free plans also fall under our training data policy, which means that your conversations may be used to improve our models. You can however opt-out of this at any time in your account settings.
Le Chat Pro / le Chat Student
Le Chat Pro enables you to go to the next level with extended usage limits, including unlimited messages per day or image generation with the latest Black Forest Labs Flux models (Ultra & Kontext).
Le Chat Student is a discounted version of Le Chat Pro for eligible students and educators.
