What is Voice mode and how do I use it in le Chat?

Updated over a week ago

Voice mode is our audio transcription feature that lets you chat with le Chat using your voice in your preferred language 🔎, instead of typing.

📌 Available on the web app and the mobile apps (iOS and Android) for all plans. Usage limits may apply.

How to use Voice mode

1. Activate Voice mode

In an open le Chat conversation, click the Voice mode button at the bottom right of the chat window to start.

2. Allow microphone access

The first time you use Voice mode, you might need to allow microphone access in your browser or mobile app.

A popup typically appears asking for permission. Select Allow (or the equivalent option).

🚨 If you previously denied microphone access, enable it in your browser’s site settings or your device’s app settings. Refer to your browser or OS documentation for exact steps.

3. Start speaking

After access is granted, the microphone becomes active.

Speak naturally, as you would in a conversation. When you’re done:

  • Click Cancel to stop recording and discard the message.

  • Click Send to stop recording and submit the audio for transcription.
