When you connect third-party tools to le Chat, you stay in control of which services are connected and what data remains available to le Chat.
The exact behavior depends on the type of Connector or tool you use.
Connectors that access data on request
Some Connectors, such as email or calendar Connectors, access data only when you ask le Chat to use them.
If you disconnect one of these Connectors:
le Chat can no longer access that service through the disconnected Connector;
future requests to that service will fail until you reconnect it;
because the Connector does not require a persistent copy of your data, there is no Connector index to delete.
Knowledge Connectors that index content
Knowledge Connectors, such as cloud drive or document repository Connectors, may index selected files, folders, or libraries so le Chat can search and retrieve relevant information.
If an Organization administrator disconnects or disables a Knowledge Connector:
access to that Connector is removed for users in the Organization;
indexed data associated with that Connector is scheduled for deletion on our side;
reconnecting the service requires setting it up again and rebuilding the index from the source.
🚨 Disconnecting or disabling a Knowledge Connector can affect all users who rely on it. If you are part of an Organization, check with your administrator before making changes.
Changes in the source tool
For Knowledge Connectors, changes in the source tool can affect what le Chat can access.
If a file, folder, or library is deleted from the connected source, the deletion is propagated to le Chat’s index after synchronization. Until synchronization completes, recently changed content may still appear temporarily.
If permissions change in the source tool, le Chat uses the updated access controls when deciding whether a user can retrieve indexed content.
Libraries and uploaded documents
For Libraries, deleting or removing content from the product affects whether le Chat can use that content in future answers.
Uploaded documents and indexed content are handled according to the relevant product behavior and our data retention rules.
Account-level controls
You can also use broader account-level controls to manage your data, including:
deleting chat conversations;
exporting your data from le Chat;
opting out of input or output data being used for training where available;
deleting your account.
