General Definitions

Updated today

As you navigate our documentation, you will encounter various tags and definitions used to describe feature availability based on subscription plans or development status.

This guide explains these common terms.

Enterprise

When a feature is marked as Enterprise:

  • It signifies that this functionality is exclusively available to users whose Organizations are on our Enterprise plan.

  • Users on Free, Pro, Student, or Team plans will generally not have access to these features.

  • Enterprise features often provide advanced capabilities tailored for large Organizations, such as enhanced security (SAML SSO, ACL Permissions, etc.), comprehensive administrative controls (Audit Logs, Data Capture), or greater scalability.

  • It's possible for an Enterprise feature to also be in a BETA phase (see below for the BETA definition), meaning it's an early access feature within the Enterprise offering.

Team & Enterprise

A feature designated as Team & Enterprise indicates:

  • This functionality is available to users on our Team plan and also to users on our Enterprise plan (as Enterprise includes all Team features).

  • Users on Free, Pro or Student plans will typically not have access to these features.

  • These features are often designed to support collaboration, team-based workflows, and user management at a group or organizational level, and necessitate seats purchases.

  • Like Enterprise features, these too can sometimes be initially released in a BETA stage.

BETA

When you see a feature labeled as BETA, this means the feature is currently in an early access or public preview stage.

While it is available for use, it may not yet be fully polished or might undergo changes based on user feedback, and, as such, is not yet considered a final release.

The availability of BETA features can vary:

  • Some BETA features might be accessible to all users, regardless of their plan, to gather broad feedback.

  • Other BETA features might be restricted to users on specific plans (e.g., a new advanced feature might be in BETA only for Enterprise users).

  • Additionally, some BETA features might be exclusive to certain regions or limited to specific user groups (a.k.a. partial rollout), and this for various reasons, including testing purposes.

πŸ“© Your feedback is invaluable during the BETA phase. Any feedback or issues you encounter can be reported through our support channels.
