You can try Mistral’s API for free with the Experiment plan.
🔑 All you need is a verified phone number (one phone number per plan). No credit card is required.
📌 If your phone number is already linked to another account, you can either cancel the other subscription, upgrade to a paid Scale plan, or use a different number. For more details, see How do I update or remove my phone number?
How to activate the Experiment plan
1. Go to the subscription page
Go directly to la Plateforme’s subscription page to start your free trial.
Alternatively, from the Admin Console, click Subscription under the La Plateforme section in the left-hand menu, then select Compare plans.
2. Select the free plan
Click Experiment for free to activate your plan.

🔑 You can upgrade to the Scale plan at any time. It offers higher limits, pay-per-use billing, and access to additional features such as:
Frontier model access
Agent creation and deployment
Fine-tuning API access
Scalable throughput and token limits

3. Confirm your subscription
Review the plan details, read and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (1), then click Subscribe (2).

🚨 API requests made under the Experiment plan may be used to train Mistral’s models. For more information, see our data training policy.
That’s it! Your Experiment plan is now active, and you can start sending API requests right away. Have fun experimenting! 🚀
