Basic setup

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Once an Organization is created, you can head directly to the Admin Console.

How to access the Admin Console

You can access the Admin Console in two ways:

  • Open it directly in your browser: https://admin.mistral.ai

  • From Mistral AI Studio: expand the main menu (1) and click Admin (2).

🔑 Most settings live in the Admin Console (see the full list here). Some features are available only on Team and Enterprise plans.

About permissions & access

Roles

  • You need to be an Admin to manage the Organization.

  • You need the Billing role to handle plans and billing.

📌 If you’re the one who created the Organization, you’re an Admin by default.

🔑 Every User in your Organization can access the Admin Console to manage their own account settings (profile info, language preferences, etc.), but only Admins can manage Organization-level settings.

Subscriptions

Some features are only available on certain plans.

📌 For example, you can’t invite users unless you’re on a le Chat Team or Enterprise plan.

Check your Organization settings

In the Admin Console, click Organization to review or adjust Organization-level options.

Here you can:

  • Rename your Organization (the name is shown to all users in le Chat and Mistral AI Studio).

  • Delete all Organization chats to start fresh.

  • Delete the Organization itself if it’s no longer needed.

🚨 Deleting your Organization is permanent and irreversible. All users and chats will be removed.

📌 Notice your Organization ID? It’s unique and permanent. Use it to reference your Organization in the Admin Console, APIs, or when you contact support.

Next steps

That’s it for the basics! Next, configure authentication for your users (either SAML SSO or Email Domain Authentication).
