Yes! Le Chat offers a special plan for students and educators called Le Chat Student.
Le Chat Student offers all the features of le Chat Pro, including a higher number of messages compared to the free tier, and advanced capabilities, but at a significantly discounted price (more than 50% off) for eligible users.
How to subscribe to le Chat Student
🔑 Before proceeding, ensure you have already signed up for a le Chat free account with a verified student or educational email address. To qualify for the student discount, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Be an active student currently enrolled in an educational institution.
Possess a valid student email address issued by your educational institution.
Subscribing to le Chat Student is quite straightforward:
1. Navigate to the Plans Page
As a signed-in user, navigate to le Chat Student plan page, where you will be presented with a quick overview of the plan and the option to subscribe at the discounted student rate with your local VAT applied.
📌 Alternatively, if you are already in le Chat interface and have clicked on the Upgrade button, you may directly click on the Are you a student? link at the very bottom of the page.
2. Check eligibility and proceed
Your eligibility will be checked automatically based on your email domain, and if recognized as a student or educational email domain, you will be able to complete the subscription process immediately. Please note that only a valid student email address is accepted for verification. Other forms of proof, such as certificates of enrollment, are not considered valid alternatives.
In the case where your email domain is not recognized, please click on the Request email check link at the very bottom of the page to proceed with a manual verification. However, manual verification is limited to confirming the validity of your student email address. Other forms of documentation, such as certificates of enrollment, will not be accepted.

Switching from a student email to a non-student email (or vice versa)
Have you already created a le Chat account with a personal email address and now want to apply for the student plan?
Are you no longer a student and want to switch back to another plan (le Chat Free, Pro, etc.)?
You can update your email at any time to benefit from the student plan, or change it back to a personal email once your education period ends.
🔑 Switching emails will not affect your existing data.
